Please Note!!!
1. Any and all sessions may change from time to time due to “away” commitments such as National Championships or for other important reasons. It is essential that you phone first if you haven’t been to our sessions before, or if you are returning from a break.
2. Athletes interested in learning pole vault may contact us, and we can put them in touch with a pole vault coach, who has regular training sessions at the Gold Coast City Athletics Track. The pole vault coach is not part of the Sports Credentials team and any fees, training times etc, will be arranged with the coach.
Sports Credentials Pty Ltd has several Coaching Policies of which all athletes and parents should be aware. Click
HERE to read their policies.
Sports Credentials Pty Ltd and their staff also abide by the Australian Sports Commission's recommended
Codes of Behaviour and expect all athletes and parents to abide by the appropriate sections of this code.
The fees have been reviewed. A further review of fees may be required mid-year. These fees are still less than the current “Recommended Scale of Fees” as set by the Australian Track & Field Coaches Association.
We WILL require assistance from parents, family and/or friends, at competitions.

It is a requirement that all athletes we coach are registered through Athletics Queensland/Australia. This ensures that all athletes we coach are covered by insurance while training, competing and while travelling to and from training or competition. The 2009/2010 season finished on the 31st March 2001. Registration renewals are due as from 1st April 2010 and will cover athletes until 30th September, 2010. Queensland Athletics is changing the dates for the registration year. It will become 1st October to 30th September as from 1st October 2010. In the interim, there will be a period of six-month registration. In this time Full Athletes will be registered as Winter Athletes.
The fees for the current season (from now until 30 September 2010) are as follows:
| Winter athlete (able to participate in all QA-sanctioned competitions) |
$75 |
| Club athlete (covered by Insurance for training purposes; unable to co0mpete in QA-sanctioned competitions) |
$35 |
For athletes who are currently members of a Little Athletics Centre in the U13 to U15 age group, there is a reduced membership fee of $35 for the season. There is no longer a reduced membership for those who are current members of Qld Masters Athletics or the Qld Professional Athletics League,
Hover over “Join a Club”, then click on “Online Registrations”. Select Gold Coast Victory from the list of Clubs. For those who have not been members before, select New Registration. Continue to follow the prompts. Payment is made by credit card.
Athletes under the age of 23, who have not yet shown proof of their date of birth (e.g. birth certificate, passport, or baptismal certificate) should organise to do so as soon as possible. This can be brought to the track where a copy can be made, and the copy can be endorsed and kept on record.
The current uniform is Nike brand and is very smart. Stock is available for purchase from the canteen at the athletics track. The colours are navy, white and gold.
All registered Gold Coast Victory Club members must wear their Club uniform AND their current registration numbers whenever they compete. Registration numbers must be worn front and back for all events, with the exception of high jump and pole vault, where one number only may be worn (front or back). This is an Athletics Australia ruling.
With the new requirements regarding insurance, it is important that all people competing at QA/AA sanctioned events are currently registered. At each of the competitions that we hold here on the Gold Coast we have to verify whether the competitors are currently registered or not. Athletes who are not currently registered, and who have not been registered previously with any State Asociation of Athletics Australia, may complete a “Trialling Member” form. This enables them to compete at up to 2 competitions (anywhere in Australia), and still be covered by insurance. If these people then wish to continue to compete, they must become members of an Athletics Club.
Athletes who have been registered in the previous season with an Athletics Club are UNABLE to compete in the new season until they have registered.
The Winter Series track and field competition timetables are available elsewhere on this website. It is VERY important we have parental assistance for all events. Our competitions are highly regarded by all levels of Athletics and we’d like to keep up the good work.
Cross Country and Race Walking
Times, venues and race information for the Brisbane Inter Club Cross Country and the Race Walking seasons can be found on the Qld Athletics website -
www.qldathletics.org.au.
It’s important to remember though, that success is not all about results at Championships. It’s about personal bests (PB’s), technical improvements, and most of all, about having fun!!!
Enjoy your season.
